We had brother and sister Scrounger. Neither worked but both pioneered. Lunch was always at yours never theirs, their car never had petrol so they always needed picking up for field service and meetings although actually the car was a gift from someone! Rented property temporarily so always on the look out for spare rooms and sofas to kip on. Always managed an annual holiday somewhere hot tho!

I agree with cantleave. Plus i know that palms have to be greased in Russia to do anything even when our engineers were requested by the Russians to go over to fix plant. All the rest of their machinery used to be covered up and hidden in sheets while our engineers were there. Taxi drivers and airport officials all have to be bribed to ensure a quick trip with no holdups or unnecessary delays.

I felt the same way about answered/unanswered prayers. Now I believe in coincidences! Why couldnt jehovah get us Brits our literature in spain but the Spanish and Germans got theirs. If public talks are soooo important why did we quite often not have one. Our KM were for the UK so a lot was completely irrelevant for working territory in a foreign country. We should have had the Spanish one in English surely. I could go on and on about the stuff the man in the sky didn't bother about in Spain!

Soliloquy
by behemot inin recent years the assemblies started to feature a new kind of demonstration on stage: the soliloquy, where inner thoughts and reasonings of the character are uttered aloud for the benefit of the audience.
usually the plot is something like this:.
1. the character (a brother, a sister, a youngster) starts with indulging in a selfish/materialistic/unspiritual thought/plan.

sometimes these questions are in the books such as this week's book study.
they spiced it up a little bit for this book study though.

A Brother on "Wheel of Fortune!"
by watson inin the pre game interview, he mentioned that he works on the "rbc" committee to help build places of worship in his community.....a little evasive sounding to me, didn't actually say he was a jw minister.... he has a cleaning business and waits tables at an italian restaurant.

However, elders would not want to get involved in what publishers do in this respect unless spirituality is endangered....
